1. Your Content Is Yours
You keep ownership (copyright) of the story, photos, and other content you submit.
By submitting your content to Comadre.com, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to edit, publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and promote your submission across our website, social media channels, newsletters, podcasts, videos, and other current or future media.
2. You Have Permission to Share
By submitting your story, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- The story is your original work.
- Any photos you submit were taken by you or you have permission from the copyright owner to share them.
- You have permission to include identifiable people appearing in your photos or stories, when required.
- Your submission does not infringe on anyone else’s copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
3. Editing and Publication
We may edit your submission for spelling, grammar, formatting, length, clarity, or style while preserving the spirit of your story.
Submitting your story does not guarantee publication. We reserve the right to decline, remove, or archive any submission at our discretion.
4. Community Standards
To help keep Comadre welcoming for everyone, please do not submit content that:
- Is abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or harassing.
- Contains false, defamatory, or misleading statements.
- Promotes illegal activity.
- Includes explicit sexual content or graphic violence.
- Violates another person’s privacy or confidentiality.
- Primarily advertises or promotes products, services, or businesses without our permission.
5. Privacy
Please avoid including sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, or private medical information about yourself or others.
If you mention other people in your story, please respect their privacy and avoid sharing information they would reasonably expect to remain private.
6. Photos
By submitting photos, you confirm that:
- You have the legal right to share them.
- The images do not violate another person’s privacy or copyright.
- Comadre may resize, crop, or optimize images for publication while preserving their overall integrity.
7. Removal Requests
If you later decide you would like your story removed, please contact us. While we will make reasonable efforts to remove it from Comadre.com, we cannot guarantee removal from newsletters, social media posts, search engine caches, or content that has already been shared by others.
8. No Compensation
Story submissions are voluntary. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, contributors will not receive financial compensation for stories or photos submitted.
9. Our Right to Moderate
We reserve the right to edit, refuse, remove, or discontinue any content that does not align with our mission, community values, or these Terms & Conditions.
10. Acceptance
By submitting your story or photos, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
